Your Premiere Rehab Therapist may use whirlpool treatment and dressing changes to aid in your recovery from diabetic, traumatic and / or surgical wounds. Whirlpools are used in the treatment of open wounds to remove necrotic tissue, stimulate healthy tissue, and to aid in debridement. It is also used as a medium for exercise to help reduce pain and increase mobility for some joint conditions such as arthritis or post arthroplasty.
